Toulouse
ABOUT
Toulouse is a city located in south west of part France with a population of around 1.3 million. The city sits on the banks of the river Garonne and is over 700 kilometres away from the capital of France Paris.
Toulouse is probably most well know for it aerospace industry as it boasts the headquarters of Airbus and Toulouse Space Centre the largest space station in the whole of Europe. It also contains its world famous university of which there are over 100,000 students.
Toulouse is capital of the largest region in France the Midi-Pyrénées region. Before provinces were abolished in the French Revolution Toulouse was capital of the province known as Languedoc.
