Provence paints a classic picture of France and French life and is part of the region of Provence-Alps-Côte d'Azur.
It is located in the southeastern France directly next to the Italian border.
The food in Provence is heavily influenced by the Mediterranean climate you will find sea food like sardines, octopus are always on the menu. The land is rugged and great for grazing animals so lamb and goat are also seen on many menus.
