Normandy


ABOUT

Normandy is located in the north coast of France between Brittany and Picardy.  Normandy is divided between the French and British and has a population of around 3.5 million.  It main towns are Seine-Maritime and Eure, Orne, Calvados, and Manche.

Normandy is famous for many things and has high historical value and is visited by millions of people each year.

In 1066 the Normans Conquered England and for well over a century England was partly governed from Normandy and many of the changes they made in England are still around today.

During World War II Normandy was used as a landing base by allied troops attempting to liberate Europe from the Nazi Germany.
