Corsica

ABOUT

Corsica is still a region of France but to be exact it is designated as a territorial collectivity, which generally means it has slightly different terms of its own administration compared to the rest of France.

Corsica is the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean and is situated off the south-east coast of France just west of Italy.

Several interesting facts about Corsica are it was the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte who also lived there for some time.  Corsica was also independent for a short period before becoming part of France in 1768.
