Cannes is a city located in the region of Provence-Alps-Côte d'Azur in south-eastern France. Cannes has a population of just over 70,000, it is easily the most famous area of the French Riviera and is usually a very busy destination because if it’s good weather and local attritions. It is seen as a playground for the rich and famous as it a multitude of luxury villas, houses and mansions it also has numerous luxury stores, restaurants and hotels.

Cannes receives around 12 hours of sunshine per day during summer which runs from May to September, while in winter the weather is mild which appeals greatly to anyone who does not enjoy the cold and rainfall is low all year round. In the summer temperatures in Cannes can reach as high as 40°C and average temperatures are about 25°C.

The highlight of the entire year is of course The Cannes Film or le Festival de Cannes. The festival was started in 1939 and is nicknamed the granddaddy of film festivals for the time it has been running. Every year top film stars, directors and producers come to Cannes making it a very a stylish and fashionable place to live.
